This Irish form is erroneously anglicized Drew(e)ry in Cavan, Drury in Roscommon and more correctly Drew in Louth and Monaghan. Drewry or Drury is also an English name derived from an old French word meaning sweetheart. Druadh and draoi both mean druid.
